Practice Management courses explore Epic tools used by a variety of non-clinical support staff users, such as staff who schedule appointments, check in and check out appointments, coordinate referrals, and more.

PM100 – Appointment Scheduling

In this course, participants will learn how to schedule various types of appointments for new and returning patients, cancel and reschedule appointments, link an appointment to a referral or dental treatment plan, and collect basic demographic information during mini-registration.

This course is separated into a 5-hour training and a 3-hour workshop where participants will build provider schedules in Epic Production.

Live Claims Testing is a billing event for new members to test and validate Epic system build and connections between our third-party clearinghouse and payors. To complete Live Claims Testing, your organization will hold an amount of claims from your current system. You will register each patient, manually enter charges in Epic, and work the charges and claims through Epic’s workqueues. After validating the claim image, the claims will be submitted to your payors from Epic. After you receive payment responses, you will post the payments in Epic. You will receive additional information about Live Claims Testing form your OCHIN Revenue Cycle Analyst.
